Keukenhof, Lisse, Netherlands
Keukenhof Garden is located in Lisse, in Holland's Bollenstreek or "Dune and Bulb Region." Literally translated, Keukenhof means "Kitchen Garden." The property, comprised of 79 acres of formal and informal areas, is considered to be one of the most stunning tulip collections in the world. Annually, more than 7 million bulbs are planted there. Each year for a limited interval of about three weeks, the site is open to visitors for viewing. Typically, about a million European and world travelers will enjoy the varied scenery. There are several gardening styles to enjoy. I have simply put up my photo choices without comment. I would encourage anyone who loves flowers and appreciates their splendour to visit. Personally, I think Keukenhof lives up to its reputation as the most beautiful garden in the world.
